A hobby box is the configuration sold through card shops and hobby distributors rather than big-box retail. It is the tier that carries the autograph and memorabilia guarantees, the deeper parallel ladders, and the hobby-only insert sets — which is why a hobby box of a given release costs a multiple of the retail version of the same release.
For a Paolo Banchero collector there is one structural fact that decides everything on this page: his rookie cards live in 2022-23 product, and only in 2022-23 product. A sealed box of a current-season release cannot contain a Banchero rookie card. It can contain his current-season base card, inserts, parallels and — in the premium configurations — his autographs, but nothing in it carries an RC mark. If the rookie is what you want, you are either buying a sealed 2022-23 box that has been sitting for years, or you are buying the single.
The other thing worth knowing before you rip: from 2025-26 the NBA trading-card licence moved from Panini to Topps/Fanatics, so the brand names on the shelf changed mid-collection. Some names carried across (Hoops), some did not. The release calendar tracks which products are current.
